1955-1981 Engine Discplacements & Ratings

Pontiac produced V-8 engines from 1955-1981. Here are some charts that show:

  • Pontiac Engine Firing Order
  • Pontiac Engines by Year
  • Pontiac Engines by Discplacement
  • Pontiac Engine Horsepower Ratings by Year

It’s important to note that Pontiac stopped making V8’s in 1981. All V8’s in Pontiac from 1982 on were GM engines.

Some horsepower charts may show engines that were not V8’s or built by Pontiac. They were included because they were used during the 1955-1981 time period. Notes have been posted to indicate any engines listed that were not Pontiac engines.
